Effective Written Communication

Effective Written Communication (with an emphasis on email communication)

Public Works employees are receiving and sending more emails than ever before.  You can save your colleagues time slogging through wordy, unstructured emails--and save yourself time answering follow-up questions--by writing clearly and concisely.  In this interactive course, you'll learn tips for doing so as well as knowing when a phone call or in-person meeting would be a more effective method of communication.

1) Learn tools and techniques for writing clearly and concisely
2) Identify the most effective communication method based on your objectives and audience
3) Practice and share communication best practices
